Made as part of Burnley Road school’s recycling week in 2006, this wall hanging features one square for each child in the school, machine-pieced with a patchwork border and hanging decorations made from heat-shrunk plastic packets. Each of the seven classes completed a different workshop session with me (represented in the seven rounds of squares) using skills including sewing, applique, collage, printing and digital technology.
